The North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB) has established an integrated medicines governance process for the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System (NENC ICS), overseen by the ICB Clinical Effectiveness and Governance Group (CEG) and supported by the Northern Treatment Advisory Group (NTAG) and its subgroups. The CEG has delegated authority from the NENC ICB Executive Committee to make decisions on aspects of medicines use and clinical pathways at system level.
Approved prescribing guidance and agreements are published on the NTAG website at https://ntag.nhs.uk/ .
The North of Tyne, Gateshead and North Cumbria Area Prescribing Committee (NoTGhdNC APC) ceased to function in April 2023.
Guidance and agreements approved by NoTGhdNC APC and the other Area Prescribing Committees previously in operation across NENC ICS [County Durham & Tees Valley APC and South Tyneside & Sunderland APC] remain valid whilst within their review date. Clinicians referring to this guidance after any expiry date should exercise caution.
